Abercrombie & Fitch clothing is now being sold nationwide. Much help to their clothing being unique and stylish, that they have become a huge worldwide million dollar company. Abercrombie & Fitch is an inspirational name and it’s one of the hottest choices by young adults worldwide. It has truly become popular among teenagers and college students, because of both the style and the comfort.

Believe it or not but Abercrombie & Fitch has been around since the late 1800s. Retail sporting clothing is what they first sold in the US and even throughout some parts of Europe. Abercrombie & Fitch was given the title “The Best Sporting Clothing Company in the World.” This term was coined in the 1930s.

Abercrombie & Fitch really started to blossom in the United States. In the beginning there were six stores and had menswear clothing for each type of sport. They only hired men who were experienced in the outdoors and also sports. The simply helped recommend products based upon what the customer was going to be playing or their style of play. So, customer service was extremely important in the early 1900s.

Because of their customer service, Abercrombie & Fitch became extremely successful. Believe it or not but the gun that Ernest Hemming way committed suicide with was bought from Abercrombie & Fitch when they had sporting goods. Another interesting fact is that president Roosevelt even had Abercrombie & Fitch clothing.

Like any company there are ups and downs. In the 1960s is when sales actually decreased. Even though there were Abercrombie & Fitch clothing stores in every major U.S. city, they simply were not getting enough sales to outweigh their current expenses. So, in 1977 Abercrombie & Fitch went bankrupt, and didn’t start up again until 1988. Mike Jefferies, CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch made a huge step and reopened Abercrombie & Fitch to become a designer clothing company, with the highest quality and expectations.

Abercrombie & Fitch is great for all types of people. They have a little something for everyone. Their target audience is mainly all the younger adults. Their unique and stylish clothing helped them sell more clothes every year and become extremely profitable.
